EBA Engineering, Inc. is a rapidly growing civil engineering firm with focus on transportation engineering design and construction management/inspection with 5 office locations and about 200 employees throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as the Vice President of Business Development & Strategic Partnerships based in Northern Virginia. The candidate must have extensive experience working with the Virginia Department of Transportation as well as local government transportation engineering departments, consultants and contractor partners.
As the Vice President of Business Development & Strategic Partnerships you will expand EBA’s services by executing business development and marketing strategies that will cultivate new contract awards in transportation sector to clients throughout Mid-Atlantic Region utilizing EBA’s diverse service capabilities.
Responsibilities include:
- Identify partnerships, business development and marketing opportunities that align with EBA’s company objectives, mission and values
- Work closely with EBA’s executive leadership team and marketing department to create cost-effective campaigns that will increase the company visibility, strategic partnerships, contract awards, geographic expansion of services, acquisition, and joint venture business opportunities throughout the Mid-Atlantic region
- Develop capabilities and qualification statements, business intelligence, economic and market analysis to secure new and on-going contracts
- Search and respond to invitations to bids (RFPs’)
- Assist EBA’s marketing team with proposal writing, review, pricing, and contract negotiations
- Provide bi-weekly reports to executive management on business development activities, forecast, RFP submittals, and contract awards
- Represent EBA at industry-related professional organization events, conferences, meetings, panels, trade shows, symposiums, or workshops
Education and Experience Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in business development and client management
- Proven track record of success in business development pipeline management and contract awards $2 million or greater
- Demonstrated experience working directly with VDOT and local government transportation departments
- Experience in proposal development, pricing, contract negotiations, management and procurement
- Experience working with capital funding and operating budgets
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Civil Engineering or relate field is required.
- A professional engineering (P.E.) license in civil, structural or related field is preferred, but not required
- Excellent oral and written communication, and presentation skills
