Are you a creative leader who loves to tell a story and inspire? If so, we are looking for a Vice President of Creative to drive the overall creative vision for Pier 1 as we reset and reimagine the future of our iconic brand. The VP Creative plays a significant part as we look at strategic initiatives focused on driving growth, innovation, and creative leadership.
]Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the evolution of the brand vision and guidelines: Deliver imaginative, conceptual thinking to advance and elevate the Pier 1 brand. Partner with marketing strategy to define and evolve the brand vision.
- Provide design, artistic direction, production, and proofing of content: Translates creative briefs into content for all Pier 1 assets. Develops and uses strong understanding of the Pier 1 brand guidelines and vision. Manages production schedule to ensure on time delivery of all assets.
- Coordination with agencies: Oversees creative agency partner to ensure all execution is on brand.
- Packaging design for select Pier 1 products: Uses merchant input and brand guidelines to oversee the creative, design, and copy for key Pier 1 products.
- Recruit and develop a strong creative team: Identify and hire key players. Coach and develop. Builds a strong, inspired, and collaborative team culture.
Education & Experience:
- An outstanding eye for style and creative vision: You have vision in your field with an omni-channel creative portfolio (photo, digital, print, store kits, video, social, etc.)
- A strong communicator and collaborator: You’ll work effectively with all members of the organization
- Flexible and resilient: You’re patient and positive in the face of project drift
- A talented juggler: You are able to successfully manage competing priorities
- A leader with the ability to inspire creative team, manage a lot of moving pieces, and pivot as needed to hit deadlines.
- Style Portfolio Required with a background in photo driven brand work (Home, Lifestyle, Fashion or other style brand experience)
