Cumulus Media Nashville is looking for an extraordinary programmer to take Nashville’s Number 1 sports station to even greater heights. The network home of the Tennessee Titans and the Nashville affiliate for the University of Tennessee Volunteers. The format leader that wants to be the market leader.
Can you take an already award winning and mature airstaff to the next level? Can you help develop personalities into story tellers on the air and online? We need someone who understands the nuts and bolts of the station. Someone who appreciates the strength of social media and how to use it to increase ratings. We want a programmer who understands the value of the Titans and Vols partnerships and can maximize them on and off the air.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- The Program Director is directly responsible and accountable for the entire air sound and performance of the radio station
- Knowledge of all applicable FCC rules and regulations
- Able to design and implement the station’s programming strategies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Problem-solving ability and skill in prioritizing
- Ability to interact with management and staff at all levels
- Ability to multi-task and handle pressures and deadlines
- Preferable if you have worked on either end of a Sports Network and or Broadcast and syndicated programming
- Must be able to work with the sales department to maximize revenue opportunities
- Should be able to provide leadership with social media and podcasting
- Must be able to work with promotions and marketing to maximize the station’s profile in the market
- Direct and coordinate activities of personnel in programming, News, Production, Promotions and Public Service.
- Technical abilities for remote broadcasts and automation equipment a plus
- Must operate as a motivating source for all departments in the station
