Essential Functions
- Develop and execute budgets, short-term plans, and long-term plans, policies, procedures, and initiatives. Work with leadership team to maintain accountability to budgets, plans, and initiatives.
- Maintain close surveillance over production and support activities to assure proper allocation of resources.
- Serve as a liaison and mentor to assist with and expedite production related issues.
- Monitor and initiate improvement projects to current processes or policies.
- Coordinate and/or direct major projects, such as facilities expansion, acquisitions, or capital improvements.
- Work with leadership staff to develop and monitor metrics relevant to division business model.
- Delegate appropriate responsibilities and assignments to team members.
- Keep informed of new developments in the economy or marketplace that are relative to the success of the division.
- Oversee and ensure various programs essential to manufacturing procedures are established and maintained to division standards â training, safety, waste reduction, labor costs, etc.
- Either directly or through team, assure staffing requirements are met.
- Encourage team member growth and development.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in business or technical field.
- Minimum 8 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Thorough knowledge of manufacturing operations and procedures, including knowledge of general accounting. Ability to manage a diverse range of technical operations. Experience managing budgets and increasing efficiencies.
- Certification in purchasing, CPIM or CPM, is beneficial.
- Knowledge of TQM, Six Sigma, or Kaizen principles is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- High level of patience and service. Ability to motivate team members.
- Ability to be flexible and multitask. Creativity and problem solving skills.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.
- Annual Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check required.
