Life-Science Innovations is seeking a dynamic Director of Information Technology to help lead their Business System and Technology teams.
Life-Science Innovations is the administrative partner that serves a group of companies involved in agri-business, bioscience, and technology, located on the beautiful MinnWest Technology Campus in Willmar, MN.

LSI is located just 90 miles west of the Twin Cities, in Willmar, MN. LSI and several of its affiliates house their headquarters on the beautiful MinnWest Technology Campus, which is the country’s largest privately-held technology park.
IT Director Position:
We are looking for an IT director who can partner with our affiliate companies and lead a dynamic team to provide technology vision, strategy and solutions that enable our affiliate companies to meet their business objectives.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide strong vision and leadership to a talented team of IT professionals.
- Develop a global IT architecture by collaborating with affiliate companies and translating individual needs into an effective global strategy.
- Participates in strategic and tactical planning with our affiliate companies, partnering with senior leadership team members to identify and prioritize technology projects to meet their strategic business objectives.
- Effectively develop and manage IT budgets that leverage technology investments and show clear business value.
- Foster collaboration between affiliate leaders and IT team members, to develop effective IT strategies, solutions, project plans and project execution teams.
- Develop and maintain an IT work environment that supports a culture of creativity, teamwork and employee engagement.
- Effectively lead, manage and coach an IT team, with the proper skill sets, staff levels and member behaviors that consistently deliver business value through high-quality solutions on-time and on-budget.
- Maintain a culture within the IT team that fosters professional development and demonstrates a clear commitment to serving the customer.
The ideal candidate will have the following educational and experience background:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent, and ten years of professional work experience in IT.
- Five years IT supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated effectiveness at planning, estimating, and managing multiple IT projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in developing the design, implementation and maintenance of enterprise IT architecture and business systems.
- A strong track record of designing, implementing and monitoring effective IT processes.
- Strong relationship building skills and significant experience interacting with senior business leaders, managers and key stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to translate a complex IT concept into a clear business case, and effectively communicate it to business leaders.
Ideal candidate will have high energy, be adaptable to change, enjoy a fast work pace, and collaborate and communicate well with all stakeholders.
