You will join a brand new team that is at the center of Zillow’s effort to transform the future of home selling. This team will be responsible for establishing and developing premier operations for residential real estate transactions, central to our mission to make the process of buying or selling a home a consumer friendly, state of the art experience that can be launched with just the click of a button.
About the role
Zillow is seeking a Regional Director for a fast-growing, innovative start-up as we expand across the country. This role will lead regional-market operations and will be responsible for the leadership of general managers and field teams involved in the process of buying, renovating and selling homes. You will partner with leadership to set regional market strategy, leadership development and operational excellence to optimize regional performance.
You will:

Own overall regional performance and P&L responsibilities with key performance indicators of property level margin, renovation turn times, actuals vs. underwriting for purchase sale price and renovation costs and timelines.

Diagnose and strategize a variety of issues that occur with buying, renovating and selling homes

Manage multiple levels of direct reports and work closely with centralized support teams

Oversee teams who evaluate ongoing market conditions, provide feedback valuation, home condition coordination with central office and home make-ready management (scopes of work, bids, setting appropriate spec levels, conditions, timelines and vendors)
Who you are

Strong leadership experience managing multiple locations and 100+ people teams.

Experience with new market launches or expansions and scaling for growth preferred.

A track record of overseeing training, quality and operational excellence initiatives.

Excellent organizational and impeccable communication skills both written and verbal

Positive, creative and enthusiastic Leader capable of inspiring large Teams across a wide geography

Role requires up to 50% travel

Investment acumen – You have knowledge of key drivers of profitability when buying and selling homes

Regional Market Knowledge – You know the intricacies of the market- including seasonality, and general market nuances including brokerage/brokerage environment

You have general knowledge of renovating a home and pitfalls to avoid

Real Estate license preferred
