Summary
The Director of Operations provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the Family Entertainment Business and to ensure appropriate profitability strength and operating efficiency. The position accomplishes this through a respectful, constructive and energetic style, guided by the objectives of the company.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintain a Current, Complete and Accurate Operating Manual to ensure that all operational activities are documented and standardized
- P&L Oversight and Management (Revenue, Expense and Capital Expenditures)
- Approve Major Marketing Efforts and Direction and Budget with CFO
- Collaborate with GNCo Management Team to Develop Processes for Growth Objectives
- Provide Strategic Financial Input and Leadership (during AOP build and throughout the year)
- Drive Business Decisions to Achieve Targets (financial targets as well as operational KPI targets)
- Schedule and set agendas for bi-weekly meetings with corporate team (all meetings to start with review of financials)
- Understanding of on-site net income drivers
- Ensure that park fact sheets are regularly updated so that Corporate has an accurate reference point to key operational information
- Owns Crisis Communication to both the on-site team as well as the Corporate Support Team (PR / Marketing / Finance)
- Provide Career Development for Onsite Management Team
- Ensure that on-site Leadership is Mirroring Core Values
- Train Site Manager on proper use of Staffing Models
- Responsible for Managing Cost Structure (particularly payroll)
- Responsibility for Overall Sales (Tickets, Rentals, F&B)
- Work with HR to Create Organizational Chart and Workforce Plan
- Ensure Compliance with all Policies
- Handle and Manage Guest Reviews
- Organize Regular Staff Meetings
- Responsible for Onsite Marketing (coordinate with Corporate Marketing as needed)
- Liaison to Corporate Marketing Team
- Determine which offsite events to attend and provide marketing team with advanced notice of materials that are needed at event
- Attend seminars to develop best in class industry knowledge

Technical requirements
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, POS system, Windows 10 and fax machine.
- Strong knowledge of the maintenance requirements of the attractions
Education and Experience
- 5 yearsâ managerial background.

Language Ability
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization. Ability to prioritize tasks according to Operations plan. Knowledge of Spanish is a plus but not mandatory.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally exposed to wet conditions and toxic or caustic chemicals, inclement weather, bright sunshine, potentially hazardous conditions on lakes, regularly required to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds, push, pull, use a wide variety of tools, lift and climb up and down. The noise level of this position will be from moderate to loud, dependent upon the area and type of work being performed.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Must have flexible availability. Weekend & Holiday work is required.
