JOB SUMMARY:
The Director of Logistics will provide leadership to the logistics, warehouse, inventory and stockroom teams, collaborate with senior leadership to establish and meet company goals, lower costs and increase customer satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A BS or BA degree in Logistics, Business Management or Supply Chain Management (or equivalent in experience) and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a Logistics or Supply Chain Management role.
Strong understanding of SAP in all aspects of inbound and outbound activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop and execute the inventory, shipping, receiving and import/export plan for the company.
2. Lead and develop teams responsible for receiving, stocking, and shipping of finished goods and raw material in multiple facilities and locals.
3. Lead and develop the import/export team on all activities and requirements for both inbound and outbound processes.
4. Facilitates a continuous flow of goods to manufacturing, distribution, partners and customers.
5. Responsible for the management and partnership of Turck USA’s freight forwarding relationships, including business management, negotiations, reporting and issue management and resolution.
6. Within the SAP environment suggest and develop system enhancements for improved methodology used in warehouse management, inventory management, and logistics functions.
7. Establish relationships with other Turck entities, internal collaborators and the channel partners for continuous improvements in system communication, material availability, planning, and material replenishment.
8. Implement and maintain goals related to inventory levels, inventory accuracy, timeliness of actions and supplier/vendor performance.
9. Establish and monitor productivity, quality, and on time delivery goals that meet or exceed company and customer expectations.
