HCA Physician Services Group is seeking their next Vice President of Physician Recruitment to join our West Florida Division. You’ll be working out of HCA Healthcare’s West Florida Division office at 3031 N. Rocky Point Dr., West, Suite 400, Tampa, FL 33607.
General Responsibilities:
The VP of Physician Recruitment manages physician recruitment and placement activities of the organization on a divisional (West Florida) basis by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates:
- Develops and implements programs, plans, policies, and procedures for recruitment, screening, selection, and placement of physicians.
- Plans and directs activities of staff in carrying out such functions as developing sources of qualified applicants, screening applicants, scheduling and conducting interviews, checking references and background, and evaluating applicant qualifications.
- Interviews candidates for open positions.
- Interfaces with hospital CEO’s and their designees to determine physician staffing needs.
- Develops and maintains contacts with educational institutions, employment agencies, placement firms, and other sources of applicants.
- Determines Internet online recruiting strategies for attracting and recruiting candidates.
- Develops and manages temporary employee, internship, and volunteer staffing programs.
- Develops and manages physician relocation programs.
- Develops and manages on-campus and off-site recruitment programs including job fairs, trade shows, and media presence.
- Implements and manages physician candidate tracking systems.
- Maintains data on recruitment activities, applicant flow, interviews, and recruitment results.
- Prepares and analyzes statistical reports and other data to monitor candidate flow, selection, and turnover.
- Consults with management to prepare staffing budgets, projections, and employment policies, procedures, and practices.
- Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A) or equivalent. Any additional education and/or certifications would be highly preferred.
Experience:
- 4+ years’ related experience and/or training.
- Physician recruitment experience is necessary, along with management of a team of Physician Recruiters.
- Will be working very closely with the leadership (C-level) of our West Florida Division focused upon Physician recruitment, directing the Physician recruitment team that supports HCA Healthcare’s West Florida Division. This is a highly visible position. Must be able to interact with all levels as appropriate.
