KAT Wholesale Outdoor provides the Kansas City area with wholesale nursery products, stone and hardscape products.
We are looking for a motivated Site Manager to run our Northland site as a full charge manager to operate and help grow the branch. We are looking for someone who is a proactive forward thinker who can manage the budget for their site and achieve sales goals. Primary Job Responsibilities:
1. Site Profitability: Manage expenses by monitoring the scorecard of inventory shortage, identify and resolve product loss opportunities, control labor costs, equipment maintenance, and maximize the usage of available resources. Increase profitable revenue volume by minimizing inventory shortage, growing the current customer base, seek and create new customer accounts, and overall customer account maintenance of current, past, and future accounts.
2. Manage Departments: Train and develop the Customer Service Department to make customer calls to promote new product, utilize provided marketing materials, improve team knowledge of the full KAT menu of products, and pursue new business accounts in the area. Oversee the Operations Department to ensure proper plant care processes, plant knowledge, warehouse storage of plants, efficient loading and unloading of product, and improve process efficiencies for order fulfilment.
3. Daily Site Operations: Function without daily supervision while following and enforcing the current KAT policies and procedures to ensure that daily business operations are done correctly and reflect our core values. Complete daily administrative duties that include invoicing, tracking daily sales numbers, and confirming receipt of payment for all goods sold.
Required Experience
- 3-5 years of nursery industry experience required
- Bachelorâs degree and/or experience in sales, operations, business development preferred
- Bi-lingual Spanish ability strongly preferred but not required
