Finance & Accounting Manager
Delta-Energy is a green technology company that is creating a true circular solution for the tire industry. Delta-Energy converts end-of-life tires into high value materials for new tires and other applications. Deltaâs proprietary process is lower cost and generates 80% less CO2 emissions compared to the production of virgin carbon black. Delta-Energy is seeking a talented Finance & Accounting Manager to help grow the business by developing, managing, and implementing a system of financial controls that includes budgeting, financial reporting, management information, and cash management. The position will report to the CEO.
MAJOR DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS
- Prepare accurate financial reporting.
- Develop and prepare insightful management information to enable better decision making.
- Work closely with the CEO and Plant Manager to drive performance improvement.
- Maintain the General Ledger.
- Maintain a robust system of financial controls.
- Provide regular and reliable cash forecasts.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for the officers and board.
- Ensure bill of material and costing accurately reflect production operations.
- Reconcile inter-company accounts monthly.
- Interface with outside audit firm(s), banks and lessors, and casualty/liability insurance agent(s)
- Oversee and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare and maintain accounts of all vendors and suppliers
- Oversee 401K Retirement Plan
- Conform to ISO 9001 procedures and work instructions.
- Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
- Assure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Policies (GAAP). Resolve questions of GAAP and internal controls.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with QuickBooks, and other ERP based accounting systems.
- Proficiency with GPMate and/or other inventory and work order programs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel as it is used for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong business acumen (management principles, strategic planning, critical thinking, budgeting, resource allocation, etc.).
- Ability to influence and engage others in a collaborative manner
- Bachelorâs Degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in an accounting/financial management role ideally with a mix of experience in a major accounting services organization and financial management experience gained in a high-growth manufacturing organization
- Strong background in cost accounting.
- Experience using manufacturing planning and reporting software systems
- Strong database management and spreadsheet skills
The position is located in Natchez, Mississippi. Reimbursement for relocation expenses will be considered.
