The Project Manager (PM) is responsible to manage, commission, and provide direction and technical oversight to support the Commissioning Project Team Duties and Responsibilities: -Manage your team members -Understand your team member’s strengths & weaknesses -Assign them to activities where they can be successful -Work with team members, both in the office and in the field, to improve their skills, knowledge and value -Provide regular constructive feedback on positive and negative performance -Staff mentoring and training -Manage your team’s overall financial performance and ensure the execution of their projects -Ensure that staff is scheduled effectively to ensure maximum utilization -Maintain and oversee the development and execution of weekly work -Ensure projects are adequately staffed -Execute projects within budget -Time and expense management -Projecting Revenue as well as Labor Requirements -Oversight and support of existing project workload -Client Management -Maintain positive relationships with existing clients and consistently promote additional services, future business, and positive references -Lead, where possible, projects to allow for an understanding of the project and development of relationships with the key project members -Project Management -Review project schedules with project team members -Review and oversee project construction -Provide feedback to all team members -Commissioning Tasks -Conduct site visits and produce reports -Utilize test equipment -Read and understand project drawings -Provide updates to supervisor and project team -Test script writing -Checklist completion -Submittal & design review -Organize & manage schedules -Perform energy calculations -Business Development -Support and/or lead the development of change orders on existing projects for your team members and affiliates -Review and/or support the development of proposals on new clients and / or projects -Participate in client and/or educational presentations as required Talent is the essence of meeting our client’s objectives, goals and challenges. Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years engineering experience, including 3 years of management experience
- Proven track record and excellent customer relation skills
- Innovative
- Must have a strong work ethic and ability to learn
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Excellent coach and mentor
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Capable presenter
- Firm, steady and fair leadership
- Willingness to accept responsibility and solicit involvement from team members
- Must be physically fit and capable of lifting at least 30 pounds and climbing ladders
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Some traveling is anticipated
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Certifications: P.E., LEED, or CCP/CBCP a plus
