Reports to: Vice President Coffee Service (CSD) Sales
Summary
Reporting to the Vice President of Coffee Service Division (CSD) Sales, this position is responsible for creating and implementing sales strategies in order to acquire new National accounts that align with the Company’s Brand and premium market position.

Duties and Responsibilities
Essential:
- Develops and executes strategic sales plans in order to meet or exceed CSD revenue and profit objectives.
- Directs the prospecting and acquisition, of all CSD national/major account through National Account Sales team.
- Responsible for building, developing, and retaining talent necessary to drive a high-performance team, along with ensuring succession planning is in place
- In collaboration with Marketing, develops sales and marketing strategies to achieve volume, revenue, and EBIT goals.
- Assists with the development of the company 5 year strategic plan, the annual operating plan, and all major promotions.
- Actively participates in full-cycle contract negotiations on behalf of the Company.
- Creates measures of success for sales team and ensures profitability and sustainability of accounts.
- Oversees the activities of the CSD national account sales team, including but not limited to, participating in sales calls, national account setup, analyzing and controlling department expenditures, preparing sales reports, implementing process improvements, participating in trade shows, etc.
- Analyzes industry/consumer trends, along with competitor activity and makes recommendations as needed to evolve CSD sales and marketing strategies, product offerings, or services provided.
- Works collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure a shared and supported sales vision and alignment to strategic objectives
- Works closely with the National Accounts Business Development team to ensure proper transition of new accounts for ongoing service and maintenance
- Supports on-going key initiatives to accelerate the Company’s progress while driving performance efficiencies
Supervisory Responsibilities
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications Description
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university and minimum 10 years of relevant, progressive CPG sales experience
- Proven track record creating and implementing sales strategies that increase sales and profitability
- Proven track record in understanding and managing the value of a brand.
- Advanced negotiation skills and experience with landing high exposure accounts
- Demonstrated skill in developing and implementing effective sales strategies
- Must be a strategic and collaborative leader with the ability to set clear priorities and pathway to success
- Experience in developing effective variable sales compensation plans
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and conduct executive business reviews and presentations
Travel Time Must be able to travel up to 40% of the time.
