  • JOB SUMMARY
    • This position reports to and works under the supervision of the Vice President of Physician Services to continually direct and improve the operating environment by developing and managing administrative systems and staff that effectively support patient care services. Works with clinic/hospital leaders and others to maximize staffing, budgeting, quality and performance of the operations. Ensures EHR is integrated into daily operations. Serves as a leader and liaison for the medical group and works collaboratively with Providers and staff across the organization.
  • PRIMARY JOB DUTIES
    • Oversees the development and implementation of efficient and integrated practice operations
    • Resolves operational problems and maintains communication with providers, clinic managers and staff to ensure high productivity
    • Assists VP of Physician Services in the development and management of clinic operations budget and productivity standards
    • Demonstrates effective leadership and communication to staff regarding organizational policy, philosophy and performance expectations
    • Participates on select committees to implement key operational priorities
    • Works with EHR team and trainer to resolve and address workflow or operational issues
    • Supports onboarding and off boarding of staff or providers
    • Facilitates establishment of and/or changes to policies related to hospital
    • Standardizes operations across board
    • Fosters quality and the efficient delivery of care
    • Coordinates activities within the department and with other departments, administration and medical staff
    • Performs other duties as assigned
  • JOB SPECIFICATIONS
    • Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Masters preferred with emphasis in health care administration classes and accounting.
    • Licensure: None
    • Experience: Minimum of four years’ experience working in hospital or clinics preferred. Two to four years in management required. Experience with EHRs (implementation/use), Microsoft Office Suite, contract/management is also strongly preferred.
    • Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Ability to type with minimal error.
    • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively and professionally either verbally and/or in writing with the public, medical staff, hospital staff, outside agencies, co-workers, patients and their families.
    • Essential Mental Abilities: Ability to organize and prioritize workload, and to work with various software programs. Ability to think and handle various projects simultaneously. Will require analyzing, explaining/teaching, attention to detail, assessing/evaluating, calculations and problem solving/reasoning. Able to comprehend medical terminology. Ability to work independently and must be self-driven.
    • Hours of Work: Normal business hours. May occasionally be required to work evenings and weekends.
    • Attends required meetings 80% of time.
    • Completes Mandatory Education.
    • Member/Affiliate of a national professional organization preferred.
