Director, Information Technology is responsible for leading in the delivery and support of IT solutions. This position is responsible for participating as a member of the IT management team in the overall planning of Information Technology projects and programs. Develop and communicate IT strategy.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead assignd team in the management of project delivery, resource planning and sourcing, employee development and budget management
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with key enterprise counterparts to ensure organization understands business priorities and is meeting business needs
  • Accountable for the successful delivery of assigned services, projects and maintenance efforts across IT and business functions, incorporating the company’s best practices and compliance with company standards and industry regulations, maintaining compliance with and adhereing to security policies and best practices
  • Coordinate and manage team workload, staffing requirements and project assignment roles of resources, provide tools, professional development opportunities and environment needed for staff to effective and productive and to develop and communicate employee performance objectives and coaching
  • Develop technology strategies to support long-term growth and sustainability
  • Lead assigned team in the management of project delivery, resource planning and sourcing, employee development and budget management
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with key enterprise counterparts to ensure organization understands business priorities and is meeting business needs
  • Secure supplies, tools, professional development opportunities and working environment needs of department
  • Improve and support use of the company’s project tools and methodologies including Enterprise Project Life Cycle (EPLC), Solution Delivery and security practices
  • Prepare department plans, focus departmental priorities, and resolve issues of conflicting priorities
  • Other responsibilities as judgment or necessity dictate


Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development, oversight and implementation of departmental budget
  • Responsible for leading a team through teaching, coaching and inspiring by fostering a sense of energy, ownership and a responsibility for the flawless execution of operational excellence; engage in the selection and hiring process as needed

Required qualifications, skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related area of study or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience
  • 7 years’ work experience in a wide range of IT roles with exposure to a variety of technologies and applications

  • Willing to travel up to 5% of time for business purposes

  • Previous experience interfacing with executive level of leadership
  • Knowledge and experience working with large systems integrators
