The Director of IS Job will provide the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of the department in order to meet the needs of users throughout the System. The IS Director evaluates the use of technology and applications to determine priorities, allocate resources, establish project schedules to ensure their timely completion, maintain the integrity and security of computer systems, and make recommendations to keep the system current with technological advances in hardware and software. In addition, the IS Director creates and supports standards, processes and procedures necessary to produce the deliverables from the team and to work effectively with the other teams.
The ideal candidate for the IS Director will demonstrate a strong commitment to the philosophy and values of the Baylor Scott & White Health System, establish positive relationships with other departments, ability to see, account for and coach others on the big picture as well as the details and tie initiatives to Baylor goals.
