Kroll Bond Rating Agency, Inc. is currently searching for a seasoned Business Development Professional to join our team. The individual will build an exciting career with us and support our exponential growth. The individual will be responsible for managing existing investor relationships and developing new investor relationships across various asset classes with a particular emphasis on corporates, financial institutions, and bank investors that purchase rated bonds.

Responsibilities include:

• Proactive and coordinated investor outreach activity and investor relationship building
• Develop strategies to support investor outreach efforts, including how to address investor guideline issues where applicable
• Work and coordinate closely with the entire KBRA team, and act as a liaison with the ratings teams
• Identify and communicate opportunities for new investor outreach
• Ability to understand and discuss the high level credit side of debt transactions
• Attend industry events/conferences
• Educate investors on KBRA’s analysis and products
• Coordinate and travel to investor meetings and conferences across the U.S.

Qualifications:

• 5 or more years of investor relations experience with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong investor relationships
• Extensive contacts in financial markets with expertise in the corporate and financial institutions market sector.
• Demonstrate a sound understanding of financial concepts and principles as it relates to investors
• Demonstrated skills of thinking proactively, cold call/network to generate meetings, presentation skills, follow-up and problem solving, critical thinking and working with internal team members
• Ability to relate to all levels and build strong relationships internally and externally
• Strong written, oral communication and presentation skills coupled with strong attention to detail
• Must be assertive, organized, detailed oriented, creative, energetic and resourceful
• Ability to develop creative and innovative approaches to increasing investor acceptance of KBRA-rated bonds
• Prior analytical experience on the buy side, sell side, other financial institution or rating agency a plus
• Bachelor’s degree required
