Commercial Landscape Construction Project Manager/Estimator An excellent position for a professional looking to advance in the landscape industry, with the opportunity to learn about our specialized and varied lines of business. An interest in landscaping / irrigation and a knowledge of horticultural practices, plant materials, and hardscapes are desired. We value hard work and a willingness to jump into exciting and complex projects in our energetic and positive work environment. The Commercial Landscape Construction Project Manager/Estimator will be responsible for managing projects, clients, and schedules. Including seeking out and reviewing bid opportunities, attending pre-bid meetings, gathering, calculating and compiling take-off data for use in bid proposals. The Project Manager/Estimator will also be responsible for maintaining accurate cost, data, coordinating the bid job with the necessary internal sources, creating proposals and following them through the bid process as well as post bid follow up.

Responsibilities Job Requirements

  • Prepares work to be estimated by performing takeoffs, * Minimum 2years’ experience creating commercial preparing proposals, bid specifications and related landscape estimates or direct experience in commercial documents landscaping
  • Gathering, calculating and compiling information from * Demonstrate integrity and self-motivation construction drawings and specs for use in bid proposal * Ability to strategically plan estimates * Excellent Attention to Detail and follow up skills and
  • Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by * ability to multi-task studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents * Ability to prioritize tasks and excel in a fast-paced work environment
  • Maintains schedule of all projects past, present and future * Able to communicate in a professional and courteous manner with customers and service personnel
  • Communicates professionally and courteously to all personnel inside and outside of the company * Possess excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Assists Department Operations Manager with monthly * Proficient in basic computer skills and commonly used reports for his/her department software
  • Understands labor burden, overtime factor, and sales tax * Able to comprehend and implement scheduling tools and percentages for his/her department CRM software * Understands general and administrative (G&A) overhead * Able to create an atmosphere of cooperation and * recovery for his/her department professionalism
  • Is self-motivated and driven with proven demonstrated
  • Understands all bidding assemblies and production rates skills to drive schedules and get work done timely and for his/her department within budget
  • Estimates, creates proposals for, and presents all change orders and ensures all change orders meet budgets
  • Creates and submits submittal packages
  • Submits accurate and timely billings, including monthly progress billings
  • Attends project site meetings as needed
  • Create and maintain blue-stake requests throughout project duration
  • Invoicing, budgeting and ordering of project equipment and materials
