Vice President – Marketing, Alternative Investments
We are seeking an experienced financial services marketer to help transform our messaging and advisor experience for BlackRock’s alternative investments business. This role will work closely with our digital marketing team, portfolio managers, Sales and operations group to develop and execute a marketing plan that drives business results and advisor satisfaction. Responsibilities are varied and include strategy and planning, content development and maintenance and campaign support.
Examples of specific responsibilities:
- Conduct competitive analysis to ensure we are properly positioning the strength of our platform, products and advisor/client experience
- Develop compelling messaging and positioning for BlackRock’s alternative investment platform
- Design and build alternative investment education program for financial advisors including stand and deliver content, value add and a virtual education experience
- Partner with event team to drive in-person BlackRock Alternative Investment Forums
Qualities we look for:
- 5-10 years financial services (wealth or asset management) and/or marketing experience
- Specific experience in alternative investments preferred
- Keen understanding of investment products and portfolio construction principles
- Superior writing and communication skills – we want marketers who make the complex simple, who can relate concepts with visuals and a minimum of words
- Excellent PowerPoint skills
- Pro-active, self-starter with ability to organize, prioritize and execute multiple projects across multiple stakeholders simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
- Ability to work well with/navigate all levels of the organization
- Passion for innovation and continuous learning
- Series 7, 24 and/or MBA preferred
