Job Description:
Performs project management responsibilities relating to information technology implementations, upgrades, conversion and recovery. Manages multiple projects or a single major project that have significant impact on a line of business or a support function. Balances technical requirements with schedule and costs. Assists in defining the scope and impact of projects and effectively communicates the impact on the organization. Establishes project tasks, timelines and budgets and effectively manages them. Defines and evaluates problems and plans effective solutions. Manages associates and makes all decisions on personnel actions including staffing, performance mgmt and comp decision-making. Scope: To drive strategic execution and maximize business value through the development of an integrated and cross-product post trade execution technology strategy that aligns with broader technology, operations and business strategies taking account of emerging trends in the industry.
Partners with technology, operations and business leaders to develop large scale transformation programs which will drive strategic investments across the business and operations.
Engages with internal and external stakeholders to proactively identify and evaluate potential technologies that can be leveraged in the strategy.
Identifies and helps drives key industry initiatives which will further our strategy.
- Partners with technology teams to foster internal innovation.
Partners with senior stakeholders to ensure the ongoing alignment of the defined strategy to broader technology, operations and business strategies.
Provides oversight of the technology vendor management engagement process to ensure existing and importantly, potential new vendors align to the defined strategy.
Required Skills:
15+ years of applicable experience, within a financial services operations or technology organization.
Experience of working within and ideally having gained subject matter expertise in both trading and operations domains.
Deep understanding of trading businesses and operational processes.
Proven track record of execution and successful delivery on a cross product and global scale.
Knowledge of Technology platforms, applications, processes, and procedures.
Leadership experience with multi-level organizations.
Effective performance within shared service or matrix environment.
Desired Skills:

Ability to understand data, drive the collection of it and use of it in selling a message.
Ability to make the complex simple.
