About Us

Flowstate is working to leverage the predictive and proactive capabilities of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence to raise the bar in pipeline leak detection – keeping pipelines safer and the environment cleaner. Collaborating closely with industry experts, we intend to deliver solutions that combine high tech capability with practical application – resulting in a real, positive impact for our customers.

And we’re doing this in the Oil City – Casper, WY – where a 15 minute drive can get you to the office, or the base of Casper Mountain. If you are interested in doing big things in a small city, we’d love to hear from you.

Flowstate has had over 15 months of development on a proof of concept with SW contractors and an industry partner. With funding and beta customers in place, we are ready to bring development of our commercial MVP in house and to begin growing our company. We are excited to bring on a CTO that can provide sound technical leadership in all aspects of our business. We are looking for someone who is smart, positive, willing to wear many hats, and motivated to meet the dual challenge of building a new product and a new company.

What We Need the CTO to Do:

• Lead the technical strategy/roadmap across the board – in product development, external partnerships, infrastructure, and talent acquisition

• Have strategic thinking – keeping an eye on our competition and competitive advantage while also identifying additional market opportunities.

• Participate in early business development and marketing activities to build brand awareness

• Train, coach, mentor – providing technical leadership for all engineering staff, including software development, data science, and pipeline engineers

• Develop and own the software development ecosystem – providing guidance on standards and practices as well as building a culture of envisioning, designing and developing solutions

• Be ready and willing for hands on coding if needed

Skills We’ll Look for:

• BS degree in a related field

• 5+ years experience including full-stack software development

• Experience in leadership roles demonstrating project management, organizational, and communication skills

• Big Plusses:

• Experience with machine learning framework (IBM Watson Machine Learning , TensorFLow)

• Experience in oil and gas industry
