The CTAC Associate Vice President (AVP) is responsible for providing the structure, tools, resources and programs to enable Agile and on-going learning that is tailored to clinical employees. The AVP will advance Healthfirstâs clinical practice through technical assistance, education, innovation and research and will serve as a catalyst for ongoing learning and the evolution of existing practices. The AVP is a champion of adult learning techniques and will ensure that all programs incorporate adult learning best practices.
- Leads the CTAC and related team operations.
- Sets the strategy, direction and goals for effective operational support with an eye towards efficiencies, quality, and process improvement
- Works in close collaboration with Corporate and Clinical Learning & Development functions to enable practical, on-the-job experiences and extensions of formal learning programs. In addition, coordinate the planning, implementation, and delivery of educational curricula that supports employees via on-going learning opportunities.
- Tailors learning approaches to different learning styles and needs. Use available performance management data to inform design of technical assistance modules and flex deployment of those modules depending on the learner.
- Design technical assistance programs to meet staff growth needs identified as a result of assessment surveys, quality improvement activities, data trends, organizational and regulatory needs.
- Oversee the creation of evidence-based staff learning and reference materials
- Evaluate technical assistance program effectiveness and make necessary changes as needed.
- Design and implement an organized system of validating staff skills, competency, performance and managing records of all licensed personnel.
- Collaborate with Clinical leadership in developing evidence based standards of practice throughout clinical services.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Passionate about adult learning approaches and the advancement of clinical practice.
- New York State Registered Nurse (RN).
- Masters in Nursing and/or a Masters in Education
- Minimum of 5 years of health care experience including knowledge of adult education and organizational theories, models and methodologies.
- Previous graduate level teaching experience and competency necessary to lead and manage curriculum development, evaluation of educational effectiveness assessment and improvement.
- Minimum of 3 years of managerial experience in education and organizational learning theories, models and methodologies.
- Intermediate Microsoft skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills).
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD in Nursing Education
- DN, Doctorate in Nursing
