The University of Southern Indiana’s Undergraduate Admission Office seeks applications for an Assistant Director to assist in the development and implementation of all aspects of undergraduate recruitment and enrollment management; assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive marketing and recruitment program designed to meet enrollment objectives and budgetary goals. The Assistant Director will assist in mentoring and developing the Admissions staff and help monitor the day to day functions of the Office of Admissions, particularly in the Fuquay Welcome Center. The Assistant Director will work closely with the Senior Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions in evaluating business practices and making adjustments as needed to enhance efficiency and productivity of the campus visit program as well as management of the CRM. Assume additional responsibilities in the Fuquay Welcome Center in the absence of the Senior Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions.

Essential Knowledge and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of three years of admission experience.
  • Possess an understanding of student recruitment and marketing principles as they relate to University enrollment management.
  • Ability to lead and interact with a diverse group of individuals.
  • Ability to mentor beginning admission counselors.
  • Ability take initiative, solve problems effectively, and promote a culture of superior customer service.
  • Strong values for teamwork, and demonstrate the ability to function independently with a high level of accountability.
  • Possess skills to motivate others to accomplish enrollment objectives.
  • Strong communication skills including oral presentation and written.
  • Strong customer service orientation required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
