The Information Technology Project Manager is an individual who is responsible for all aspects of park systems. This position will play a lead role during the implementation of any new applications or changes to applications at the parks. The IT Project Manager will also be responsible for learning and supporting new applications and also continue additional technical knowledge training. This position reports to the Chief Information Technology Officer.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Complete understanding of individual park systems from staff, park management and corporate headquarters perspective.
  • Assist in the development of new or modified business processes and procedures in conjunction with the development of the functionality of new or existing software applications.
  • Participation in document development related to park manager systems training.
  • Assist with the process streamlining and process improvement.
  • Project management duties related to evaluation and selection of new systems, running status meetings, keeping track of issues.
  • Maintain a Project Management database related to IT Park Operations projects
  • Review of current system upgrades including features, hardware impact, and operational impact.
  • Participation in system and operations document review for completeness and accuracy.
  • Work with systems vendors on features development, related schedules and new releases.
  • Manage list of park systems including each systems vendor, current software release, software inventory, and hardware inventory by individual location.
  • Participation in continuous discussions and development of park systems support desk.
  • Assist the IT department and users during any future upgrade process
  • Assist in the development of training documentation and end user procedures relating to applications
  • Assist in the research and identification of fixes for park systems
  • Assist the IT department with roll out process of new or upgraded applications
  • Willingness to pitch in at any level to insure work products are delivered.


Minimum requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Results-oriented, pragmatic approach to problem solving; interpersonal skills to provide input on complex issues.
  • Knowledge of systems design concepts and software engineering in a decentralized business environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Detailed oriented.
  • Experience in coordinating and managing third party vendors.
