ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a head of marketing who is passionate about shaping the future of transportation. This role is the driving force of the Luminar brand and it’s global growth. They must have a proven track record of leading outstanding technology brands and driving all of the strategy and execution. They will be responsible for increasing brand awareness, designing and implementing ABM programs in collaboration with business development, launching new products, and producing key industry and hosted events.
]Responsibilities:
Lead the Marketing Team
- Lead the day-to-day activities of Luminar’s marketing functions.
- Ensure that the marketing objectives are implemented in collaboration with the team while managing outside consultants to maximize performance based on the scope of work.
- Develop, drive, track and report on quarterly and annual metrics based on outlined marketing objectives shared across Luminar leadership and Board of Directors.
- Develop and maintain budgets in collaboration with Luminar Finance based on informed resource allocation plans.
Drive and Grow the Luminar Brand
- Work with the business, product and executive teams to design and evolve the Luminar corporate brand that enables Luminar’s vision.
- Design and deploy the Luminar brand strategy, including cross-communication go-to-market strategy for existing and new products.
- Craft and evolve the messaging across Luminar’s strategic positioning, brand differentiation, and technology prowess that keeps key stakeholders keenly aware of Luminar and ultimately shapes the automotive technology market.
- Craft Luminar’s core messaging and maintain consistency across all assets.
Manage the Core of Marketing
- Work alongside Luminar’s business development team to design and implement account-based marketing strategies that enable them to meet company objectives and grow the market share globally.
- Oversee the implementation of the Marketing strategy, including product marketing, industry events, original content, and social media.
- Build CRM and lifecycle communications programs that drive customer engagement and fuel product demand.
- Lead the strategy and creation of sales enablement content.
- Effectively drive project management across a wide array of internal teams and external agencies.
- Continually analyze the competitive market and automotive technology trends and work with the product team to develop subject matter expertise within core areas.
- Design and lead Luminar’s Partner program with core automotive and technology customers that deliver mutually beneficial opportunities through breakthrough Marcom campaigns.
Qualifications:
REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE
- Minimum of 8+ years working with technology-focused brands in management positions, working across public relations, marketing and brand management.
- Proven track record of designing and managing comprehensive marketing programs that mapped to core objectives.
- Demonstrated relevant leadership in driving B2B marketing programs that resulted in partner acquisition and growth.
- Keen ability to distill technical information into meaningful content for non-technical audiences.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to develop and lead industry-transformational brands.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or Journalism. MBA a plus.
- Proven track record of success in senior roles.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with effective communications across peers, press, executives and customers.
- Confident, driven and dynamic leader.
