SUMMARY:
The Director of Physician Practices oversees, directs and manages all operations of SRPS Physician Practices. Assesses physician practice performance to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the business. Evaluates, develops and assists Practice Supervisors and Practice Managers to ensure competency of leadership. Implements and maintains financial and business goals and objectives and is responsible for quality, patient experience and management of budget including direction for individual practices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Formulates the development, direction and operational activities for the Specialty Care Practices including but not limited to Patient Experience, Revenue Cycle, Referrals and Outreach.
- Oversees the Practices Supervisory Team and Providers to ensure all regulatory compliance standards are met, implements goals, development initiatives, strategies and practice efficiency measures.
- Implements and maintains the financial and business goals of assigned Practices including but not limited to provider production, annual budget, defined targets of revenue, etc.
- Manages a system of organizational development, evaluation and accountability for Practice Management.
- Analyzes and reviews metrics and data to identify trends, variances to St. Rita’s standards and adjust strategic priorities.
- Collaborates with departments to coordinate necessary infrastructure functions including but not limited to Information Technology, Medical Staff Services, Cornerstone Alliance, Human Resources, Materials Management, Finance and Decision Support.
- Accountable for physician and/or practice onboarding in conjunction with the Manager of Onboarding and Practice Optimization.
- Coordinates with appropriate individuals to ensure compliance with CMS, CLIA and other required regulating agencies.
- Serves as a resource for Practice Management team and providers.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Bachelors in healthcare or business related degree
Minimum Years Experience: 5 years of direct physician practice management or similar healthcare setting
