Job Overview
Responsible for the monitoring, planning and developing of community education and outreach programs, events, activities and speakers for St. Joseph’s Health. Interacts effectively and represents St. Joseph’s before a wide range of community, corporate and professional constituencies. Works closely with administration, nursing, foundation, volunteers and other departments in coordinating special events, programs and other educational offerings. Maintains a database of outreach activities for the purpose of validating community benefit. Seeks grant opportunities to provide funding for outreach education.
Qualifications
Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in in Community Education or related field plus 3 years experience in community outreach and three to five years of previous work related experience. Excellent writing, speaking and communication skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work effectively with a wide range of hospital, professional, corporate and community constituencies.Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
