The Accounts Receivable Manager will ensure accuracy of the Accounts Receivable process by managing invoices, ensuring timely and accurate cash application, and reviewing credit worthiness of future and existing customers.


Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Interviews prospective employees and chooses the best applicant based on skills, knowledge, and abilities required for the job.
  • Trains and oversees employees, including those in a backup role.
  • Directs assigned tasks and provides assistance as needed.
  • Implementation team member for new ERP financial systems

Responsibilities of our Accounts Receivable Manager include but are not limited to:

  • Set objectives for the accounts receivable team that align with the accounting department’s goals
  • Monitor processing of invoices
  • Ensure timely collection of payments
  • Conduct credit checks
  • Negotiate with clients in non-payment cases
  • Monitors KPI’s including Days Sales Outstanding and directs continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist with preparation of monthly Borrowing Base components
  • Provides backup to A/P Supervisor and trains A/P supervisor on key A/R manager functions
  • Assist with proper sales tax billing and with state and local tax compliance activities
  • Assist with compilation and publication of revenue statistics
  • Assist with Documentary Collection process for Direct Import customer
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Thorough understanding of accounts receivable function.
  • Excellent supervisory and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Five years or more of related experience in an accounts receivable operation using both automated and manual cash application processes, credit monitoring processes and dispute resolution methods.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.

Physical Demands and Working Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, write, speak or hear. This position will work in an office environment. Working conditions are indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 75% of the time.
