Job Summary

Responsible for managing all aspects of an assigned portfolio of global or regional suppliers to include but not limited to developing and directing supplier strategy, contract negotiation, sale of products and services, financials (budgets, billing, payment and profitability), business planning and reviews, establishing relationships with key decision makers globally, staff development, business continuance and escalation of operational issues.

Direct responsibility to BCD and externally to the supplier for the success of the contract on a global basis and/or across multiple BCD Travel geographical regions (Americas, EMEA/UK/Ireland, APAC) as applicable.


Responsibilities

  • Leverage scope and scale to enhance BCD travel value proposition with suppliers
  • Monitor industry trends and work with business to identify and develop new supplier opportunities
  • Identify opportunities, create and deliver strategies to rationalize supplier portfolios where ROI is low.
  • Model performance and expected results and make recommendations on supplier proposals
  • Develop and deliver individual business plans to drive agreements with primary business units (Supplier Relations, Sales, Commercial Teams/Ops, etc.)
  • Develop and implement supplier maximization strategy to grow existing and create new revenue streams
  • Assist with the creation budget and forecast for portfolio of suppliers
  • Analyze supplier performance to contracts to ensure optimal revenues and earnings rates
  • Provide monthly projections on performance and income for each supplier
  • Oversee monthly financial settlement process including with joint ventures, partners and affiliates
  • Perform or direct personnel recruiting, hiring, training, and separation in coordination with HR.

Qualifications

  • 7 years travel industry experience with extensive TMC knowledge
  • 3 years in a leadership role with direct report experience
  • Knowledge of global issues, opportunities, and challenges for conducting business in the international marketplace; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to each business market and diverse situations.
  • Knowledge of the how’s and why’s of preparing and justifying business cases and value propositions; justifies business expenditures by identifying cost, benefits, ROI, opportunities, and risks
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% (if candidate not in Atlanta)
  • College / University degree preferred
