Full Job Description
Ryan Companies US, Inc. has a career opportunity for a Vice President of Development to join our team in Minneapolis. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a minimum of 10 years of experience in multi-family and/or office development. This role will have an immediate focus on supporting and leading many aspects of Ryan’s redevelopment of the Ford Site in Saint Paul.
Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and be currently recognized in the marketplace as an experienced developer with excellent market knowledge and a proven track record of success.
Core Responsibilities: The Vice President of Development will collaborate in an integrated process that is unique to Ryan, and will have the responsibility to:
- Assess project feasibility and success
- Strategically lead and pursue regional development opportunities
- Lead and organize large multidisciplinary project teams of design, construction, development and other real estate professionals
- Manage significant project budgets and pursuit budgets
- Develop and maintain effective marketing and sales/leasing strategies
- Build and nurture on-going customer and brokerage relationships for Ryan
- Identify and control potential project sites

- The ability to make confident and reliable decisions and recommendations
- Foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and creating real estate solutions
- Excellent organization and communication skillsets
- Ability to inspire and collaborate with multiple internal project partners
- Strong financial, financial modeling, and underwriting skillsets
- Solid real estate law understanding
