Full Job Description
Ryan Companies US, Inc. has a career opportunity for a Vice President of Development to join our team in Minneapolis. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a minimum of 10 years of experience in multi-family and/or office development. This role will have an immediate focus on supporting and leading many aspects of Ryan’s redevelopment of the Ford Site in Saint Paul.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and be currently recognized in the marketplace as an experienced developer with excellent market knowledge and a proven track record of success.


Core Responsibilities: The Vice President of Development will collaborate in an integrated process that is unique to Ryan, and will have the responsibility to:

  • Assess project feasibility and success
  • Strategically lead and pursue regional development opportunities
  • Lead and organize large multidisciplinary project teams of design, construction, development and other real estate professionals
  • Manage significant project budgets and pursuit budgets
  • Develop and maintain effective marketing and sales/leasing strategies
  • Build and nurture on-going customer and brokerage relationships for Ryan
  • Identify and control potential project sites

  • The ability to make confident and reliable decisions and recommendations
  • Foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and creating real estate solutions
  • Excellent organization and communication skillsets
  • Ability to inspire and collaborate with multiple internal project partners
  • Strong financial, financial modeling, and underwriting skillsets
  • Solid real estate law understanding
