We are currently seeking a Vice President of Manufacturing Operations at our St. Paul location. The Vice President of Manufacturing Operations will be a key member of the Leadership team. Will help develop and implement Company strategies and formulate operational policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and profitability.

The VP is responsible for the overall performance of Operations and the Quality Management system, meaning quality of products and services produced, operations’ profit contribution and delivery performance. Will be responsible for leading planning, and executing manufacturing, documentation, logistics, process engineering, planning, purchasing and facilities.

Will continually evaluate programs and processes to identify areas for improvement and growth with a focus on Continuous Process Improvement, Quality, Safety and monitor performance to address opportunities and development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Develop, implement and execute strategies to improve and enhance efficiency, effectiveness, of Quality Management, Safety, Sourcing Management, Procurement and Supply Management, Transportation and Logistics, Production Planning and Control, Cost Management Systems, Continuous Process Improvement, and overall performance towards reaching our company objectives and long-term strategies.

· Leads, and actively participates in, supports and drives the continuous improvement of the customer experience through programs and initiatives to reduce errors, provide on-time delivery, and achieve customer quality expectations within operations.

· Establish and oversee quality programs to standardize and improve quality of processes and products to meet company standards.

· Requires high-level strategic and tactical planning ability. Responsible for creating and developing a successful tactical plan for budgeting and the execution of operational objectives.

· Responsible for leading and managing manufacturing, documentation, logistics, process engineering, planning, purchasing and facilities.

Skills and Abilities Required:

· B.A. or B.S. with a Masters in Operations and Supply Chain Management or Operations and Technology Management.

· Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and management skills. Including the ability to train, develop, coach and mentor members of the operations team.

· Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization, internally and externally.

· Comprehensive knowledge of quality systems and manufacturing operations principles and practices. Including; Analysis and Modeling of Business Systems, and Operations Analytics.

· Deep understanding of Manufacturing Engineering, Lean Six Sigma, Manufacturing Capacity Planning, Workforce Management, and Inventory Control, quality systems, supply chain management.

· Proficient at bringing new products into manufacturing under the guides of the company’s Quality System.

· Maintains awareness and understanding of current and developing safety policies and procedures, applies same to all assignments, and may instruct co-workers on appropriate safety policies and procedures

· Maintains awareness and understanding of the company’s Quality System – its policies, procedures and work instructions as identified in training programs.
