Do you have experience managing Testing Programs for a Shipbuilding Program? Do you have experience with USCG and/or USN shipboard testing and sea trial procedures?

Our client needs to hire an OPC Test Director to assume overall responsibility for compliance with testing/trials procedures stipulated under the USCG Offshore Patrol Cutter (OPC) shipbuilding program contract. This key position is based in Panama City, FL.

Your Job Duties

· The OPC TEST DIRECTOR will execute a “Total Ship Test Program” to include development of test processes and procedures, test report templates, and management of testing.

· Oversee all testing at the OPC production facility, on shipboard, and during NAVY INSURV acceptance trials.

· Provide briefings and metrics for the ship’s total test plan and test schedules.

· Manage all Testing and Activation projects within financial and schedule specifications.

· Support production, test, launch and trials Readiness Reviews.

· Lead all Pre-and-Post Sea Trial meetings.

· Maintain all Test Metrics and communicate timely to the program office.

· Coordinate with ENG and Project Mgmt to ensure testing strategy is on track.

Your Job Qualifications

· BS-ENG degree.

· 5+ years’ experience – managing USCG and/or USN shipboard testing projects, developing test procedures, performing test validations, and creating test reports.

· Ability to interpret Gov’t Contract requirements into a comprehensive test program.

· Ability to deliver test program presentations to both company and USCG mgmt teams.

· Experience with integration of a test program into Program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) – from design through fabrication, construction and delivery.

· Excellent written, verbal and presentation communications skills.

· Ability to rapidly obtain, sort, filter and analyze large volumes of data.

· Experience working both independently and as part of the OPC team.

· Experience with CDRL Development & Management.

· Experience developing test procedures using ABS NVR.

· Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance.
