How this role contributes to the Y’s mission: As a Y Senior Program Director of Licensing Operations, you will support the operations of licensed K -12 programs through providing ongoing training and development to associates. You will provide oversight and management to the processes and procedures required by all regional Office of Child Care departments within the Maryland State Department of Education. You will oversee the day to day operations including relationship management with external contacts, quality management training and implementation and program development associated with required training and development of all levels of youth development associates. You will manage internal audits, external visits, new program initial licensure efforts as well as staying current with active licenses throughout the state of Maryland. As a Y Senior Program Director of Licensing Operations, you’ll contribute to the Y and to the broader community by providing peace of mind to parents and guardians by knowing their children are safe while they are at work. This work is right for you if you have: • A love of youth and family • The ability to clearly communicate and effectively listen to children, parents/guardians, members, and other Y associates • A minimum of 5 years supervisory experience and 5 years of experience in licensed child care environment • Prior experience opening new sites, obtaining and maintaining licensure in a school age child care setting required • Prior experience supervising of multiples • Prior experience indirectly managing associates on manners related to OCC • A bachelor’s degree in education, human services or a related field
