Senior Director, Corporate Partnerships
Position Summary
The Senior Director, Corporate Partnerships will be a key performer developing and selling integrated partnership programs including signage, print, digital, intellectual property, tickets/suites, community programs and promotional rights for Hartford Athletic. This person will be tasked with generating new business revenue by developing partnerships with local, regional and national companies. This includes generating leads through networking and research, developing new business, creating renewal proposals, conducting client presentations, managing fulfillment costs and negotiating contracts to meet and exceed annual revenue goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prospect potential partners to establish new business revenue for Hartford Athletic and sell partnership programs to increase revenue, tickets sales, suite sales and heighten awareness of Hartford Athletic.
- Develop mutually beneficial partnership proposals based on potential sponsorsâ business objectives.
- Aggressively attack the market, via phone calls, in-person meetings, and other methods.
- Strategically find and target possible clients and ensure inventory is designed towards synergy.
- Work closely with the Client Service team to serve as liaison between partners and internal departments of the company to fulfill contractual obligations.
- Maintain an active schedule of sponsorship prospect appointments and meetings focused on selling Hartford Athletic partnership opportunities.
- Review industry trends to ensure best practices are utilized.
- Operate data and utilize systems to ensure accurate and insightful sales process record keeping.
- Collaborate with and entertain current and prospective partners at Hartford Athletic games and events.
- Effectively present proposals to partners and potential partners.
Qualifications, Skills and Education Requirements
- Strong sales background with a proven track record in selling team assets.
- Broad knowledge and experience in sports marketing, media, promotion, hospitality and partnership sales.
- Willingness to learn, grow, and collaborate both as an individual and in the team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills to C-level executives.
- Proven negotiation and closing skills.
- Experience selling high six-figure integrated partnerships.
- Must be creative, well-organized, possess a strong work ethic and a desire and willingness to learn.
- Must be an aggressive, self-motivated team player that can focus on individual and team revenue goals.
- Must have superb attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, weekend & holidays.
