We are currently seeking qualified individuals for our Director of Maintenance position to manage the maintenance operations in a manner which contributes to the overall fiscal success of the facility. This is a hands-on position that requires a balance of both strategic and day-to-day focus.
Scope of Responsibilities Include:
- Direct preventive maintenance program to appropriately maintain facility.
- Manage or execute the repair of air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, painting, drywall, etc., depending on required work
- Timely, friendly, and accurate follow-through for all work orders.
- Manage the Technicians ensuring the scheduled work is completed.
- Manage operation and capital budgets.
- Keep building in compliance with all federal, state, local regulatory codes to include: OSHA, The Joint Commission, BOCA, NFPA, Department of Health and Developmental Services and statewide Fire Protection Codes
Qualifications include:
- Journeyman Certification, preferred.
- Five years experience in plant maintenance or construction, and/or engineering.
- 2+ years management experience. Working maintenance in a healthcare setting, preferred.
- Five yearsâ management level experience encompassing health and safety, Facility engineering, and performance improvement.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities include:
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Able to manage maintenance staff to ensure quality services and promote positive employee relations.
- Able to manage budgets.
- Able to foster a safe environment by integrating safety priorities into all relevant policies and procedures, processes, functions and services.
- Must be able and willing to be on-call.
- Current VA driver’s license in good standing.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted and climb ladder as needed.
