As the Head of Wholesale, you will be responsible for the growth and development of the Boll & Branch wholesale business. You will identify opportunities and build relationships with existing and potential wholesale accounts across channels. This position will report to Boll & Branch’s CEO.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the fashion/home goods/retail industry with proven success in wholesale/b2b sales. They will be analytical with an entrepreneurial mindset; able to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment where self-direction, motivation, and management are paramount.
This role will be based at our Summit, NJ HQ with the flexibility to occasionally work from our NYC satellite office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify wholesale and partnership opportunities that align with Boll & Branch’s brand values and customer attributes.
- Develop our b2b/wholesale ‘North Star’ devising a long-term channel strategy and driving near-term execution.
- Lead pipeline management and framework for prioritizing opportunities.
- Cultivate strong relationships and partnerships that build Boll & Branch company and brand equity with key account leaders.
- Work with cross-functional teams to create product assortments and merchandise plans that support the delivery the Boll & Branch brand message in a 3rd party environment, while evaluating product and capability opportunities for potential new partnerships in the market.
- Analyze selling reports and market trends for competitive benchmarking and sell-through planning.
- Grow wholesale revenue through strategies and programs that are accretive to both Boll & Branch and our partners.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier University.
- 10+ years of experience in retail and wholesale sales/business development; startup experience is a huge plus.
- Existing wholesale relationships and networks, preferably in our category or close adjacencies.
- Proven success in all areas of the sales cycle including prospecting, building relationships, negotiating, and selling.
- An outstanding communicator and compelling presenter with strong negotiating skills.
- Adapts well to a fast-paced environment – being independent and scrappy is a must.
- Highly analytical and data-driven; able to identify opportunities through analysis of all available business metrics.
- Highly self-motivated, hard-working, and results-driven.
