PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
The Director of Operations is directly responsible for the outcomes achieved through the leadership, supervision and oversight provided by each of Primrose’s Regional Operations Managers to their Primrose community. The Director of Operations works directly with each department head (Accounting, Legal, Sales, Nursing, IT, Maintenance, Research and Construction) as well as the coordinated efforts of a (Procurement Specialist, Dining Service Specialist, Operation Specialist, Life Enrichment Specialist and Memory Care Coordinator), in order to provide vision, coordination and success in the operation of each of our Primrose Communities.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
A Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Gerontology, Business or related field along with a minimum of 3-5 years of successful, multi-site management, history in meeting financial goals, as well as demonstrated leadership experience in the senior living industry.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITY:
· Work under the supervision of the President of Primrose.
· Assist in developing and leading strategies to ensure policies and practices for achieving business results are aligned with Primrose’s mission statement and core values.
· Builds and maintains productive, professional, work-focused relationships with all Home Office department heads and staff.
· Able to work with people in such a manner as to build high morale and group commitments to goals and objectives.
· Assist Regional Operations Managers in the establishment and approval of annual community budgets as well as monitoring monthly performance.
· Meet regularly with Home Office department heads to ensure consistent and effective communication is occurring.
· Establish and implement yearly operational strategic plans that align with Primrose company strategic planning.
· Provide a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
· Able to define realistic, specific goals and objectives. Able to define tasks and deliverables necessary to meet goals.
· Be familiar with state licensing requirements as they affect the independent and assisted living industry.
· Emphasize a Quality Assurance at our communities that meets/surpasses our Primrose standard.
· Assist in the development and support of Primrose’s policies and philosophies to employees.
· Regularly meet with Regional Operations Managers to review and evaluate the results of their overall operations regionally.
· Participate in yearly, company-wide site visits to communities.
· Assist Regional Operations Managers in managing human resource issues.
· Follow company policies and procedures and effectively communicate them to subordinates.
· Assist regional teams to respond quickly to changing market conditions and revise strategies accordingly.
· Assist Regional Operations Managers in approving and appropriating specific community expenditures.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to reach, stoop, bend, carry and manipulate various items and also to walk efficiently around the building. Lifting, pushing or pulling up to 50 lbs. Using proper body mechanics or available equipment to lift.
