What is the job?
The Head of TA is a senior leadership role based out of newly formed HR People Services function in purpose built office space in Orlando, Florida. Responsible for providing exceptional advice and guidance to a team of professional recruiters supporting our 35 midway attractions and two (soon to be three) LEGOLAND theme parks.
You will provide direction, guidance and expertise in:
Creating and deploying innovative recruitment campaigns
Building a direct hiring capability
Manging and driving recruiter performance
Investigating and recommending the most appropriate attraction channels
Identifying and introducing new recruitment technologies and partnerships
Managing effective third party vendor relationships
Managing and evolving Merlin’s employment brand
Enhancing Merlin’s online social media presence
Delivering cost effective recruitment strategies including devising and delivering an ERP
Identifying new talent communities in all jurisdictions
Managing and delivering executive level recruitment
Devising and delivering recruitment training across the business
What background are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will have a combination of agency and in-house experience and will have recent and proven capability in delivering large scale, high-volume recruitment campaigns and strategies for multi-site businesses.
Adept at identifying and engaging new talent communities and harnessing new technologies to drive better volumes and relevance of candidate pipeline.
Proven previous experience of building outreach programmes and in crafting compelling business cases for new talent acquisition approaches and strategies.
Experienced at managing teams of recruiters and of developing and evolving new capabilities in raw recruits through personal demonstration and action.
Great understanding, experience and awareness of the different strategies and mechanisms for engaging wide demographics and diverse communities
The perfect background will incorporate experience in the entertainment or leisure & hospitality sectors and will be a highly competent hands-on recruiter at all levels. Whilst this role is firmly positioned at a leadership level the need to deliver personally is never far away.
Essential Skills & Attributes
Exceptional written and oral communications skills – you will be crafting engaging proposals and influencing senior stakeholders daily
Proven project management skills – you may not be PRINCE2 or PMI but you’ll have experience of delivery in a dynamic environment to tight parameters
Commercially savvy you’ll be adept at negotiating great deals, navigating difficult contractual arrangements and managing budgets
Your leadership skills will be collaborative and effective in an environment that is ever changing
Technically you’ll be highly capable with strong Office skills and broad systems knowledge – specifically ATS’s as well as a proven ability to utilise a wide range of social media to build employer brand and drive applications
