Fidelity Brokerage Technology (FBT)is seeking an individual who is looking for a challenging and rewardingopportunity to lead our Cloud practice. You will work with our enterprisepartners and other development teams to cultivate innovation, provide strategicdirection and deliver on new technology patterns across the stack. You willlead a team which will provide leadership in computing services, adoption ofplatforms and standardization across Fidelity Initiatives.
The Team
The Fidelity Brokerage Technology(FBT) Cloud / Engineering Architecture Team will design, validate and implementthe future infrastructure for Fidelity. The teamâs mission targets a strongfocus on cloud design, resilience, and observability. To help the firm maintainan edge over competitors, the team will provide cloud and engineering bestpractices to development teams and serve as the business unit representation insupporting the goals of the enterprise cloud strategy. The role can be based out of Westlake, TX, Smithfield, RI, or Merrimack, NH.
The Expertise You Have
- 15+ years of experience in defining application architecture strategies and solutions and establishing reusable capabilities and patterns.
- Expertise in financial services applications and platforms.
- Expert in standard infrastructure topology resiliency patterns.
- Expert in 12 Factor principles and implementation options for principles.
- Expert in cloud design based upon workload patterns.
- Experience in refactoring existing applications to add observability and resiliency patterns including, but not limited to circuit breakers, bulkheads and throttling.
- Experience collaborating with other business units and outside companies to create and optimize business unit standards.
- Experience in networking across business units and outside the companies to optimize new reusable processes, patterns and practices with world class results.
- Experience with Spring and integration frameworks.
- Passion for staying current on technology trends in order to pivot direction and drive results.
- Demonstrable ability to share knowledge with others to improve the whole team
- Financial industry experience preferred.
- Certification in AWS or Azure Cloud-based Architecture preferred.

- Driving the delivery of APIs across multiple product teams.
- Providing leadership and direction on the modernization/migration of legacy capabilities to Cloud.
- Providing technical direction on multiple, complex project, initiatives and products.
- Key liaison with the various business units across FBT Operations and Services organization.
- Provide thought leadership on emerging architectures including API, Cloud, UI, Security and Data.
- Making decisions over technical issues, standards, and strategies across multiple Brokerage applications.
- Providing leadership to Proof of Concepts (POCs) for assessment of technology/business benefit.
