Project Manager – Fire Sprinkler
Job Summary:
Large full-service Fire Protection/Suppression and Sprinkler company that engineers, fabricates and installs fire sprinkler and alarm systems is hiring a Project Manager Baton Rouge. The ideal candidate will have three or more yearsâ experience in project management of Fire Sprinkler systems for industrial and commercial clients in the Baton Rouge area, working independently.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees and directs construction of commercial and industrial Fire Protection System projects performing installation/service from conception to completion for multiple clients.
- Reviews contracts, specifications and bid drawings for assigned projects.
- Reviews the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
- Coordinates and directs construction workers and subcontractors.
- Meets contractual conditions of performance.
- Reviews the work progress on daily basis.
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
- Work effectively with a wide variety of people.
- Handles multiple priorities, project duties and responsibilities.
- Travels regularly to visit job sites (mostly in the greater Charlotte metropolitan area with some projects in surrounding states)
- Liaisons between contract sales reps, department manager, subcontractors, customers, engineers, and field Foreman.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required. Degree a plus
- Minimum of five years of experience in fire sprinkler and/or suppression in installation, designing, estimating and/or project management.
- Estimating experience required
- Working knowledge of NFPA and ICC code
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook
- NICET certification in fire sprinkler or fire suppression systems highly desired
- Designing experience desired
- Must have recent experience in the Fire Protection/Suppression industry in commercial or industrial settings
