FINANCE DIRECTOR

The Finance Director, in partnership with OpCo executive leadership team, will provide financial decision support on a wide scope of operational and strategic matters that impact the manufacturing and field service business unit objectives.

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of company policies and procedures and acts as a primary internal control and policy/process advisor for the Company.
  • Responsible for all accounting functions, including financial reporting, general ledger, budget and policy recommendations and medium- and long-term planning.
  • Ensures financial functions are compliant with US GAAP, the SOX, and other regulatory and advisory organizations.
  • Analyze the organization’s revenues, liabilities, credit conditions, and other financial indicators to forecast its short, medium, and long-term cash flow position.
  • Develops and manages the preparation of annual operating budgets and/or periodic financial reports; brings strategic insights to the leadership team based on analysis of budgets and financial reports.
  • Develops, designs and manages the implementation of forecasting models.
  • Develop and sustain entity level internal controls.
  • Evaluate and recommend investments, funding sources, and other financial instruments that will meet these cash flow needs.
  • Advise senior management on financial matters and on the potential impact of current and future laws and regulations on the operation of the organization.
  • Provide technical expertise and advice on financial issues to functional managers to help them develop revenue and expense budgets, understand financial reports, and manage their financial responsibilities.
  • Select, and manage ongoing relationships with external consultants and advisors (e.g., tax advisors, accounting firms) to ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service. Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop financial staff to ensure the organization’s accounting activities are conducted accurately, ethically, consistently and according to relevant regulations, laws, and standards.
  • Coaches and mentor’s direct reports; assigns work according to availability, skills, and developmental needs; assesses performance and provides feedback to direct reports
  • Other duties as required

SCOPE: $250M RODS business with 4 manufacturing companies, 30 field locations and various global distributors

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • CPA required
  • MBA preferred

Experience

  • 15+ years of relevant finance and controls experience required, with past 5 years must be in a Leadership capacity.
  • Manufacturing background required, preferred within oil and gas.
  • Recent experience working in a publicly traded company, preferred within a matrixed operating environment.
  • Excellent broad-based business thinker who can collaborate effectively with peers and executive functional and senior business line leaders.
  • Experience managing in a matrixed and lean culture that continuously prioritizes growth as well as operational excellence.

Technical Skills

  • Ability to plan and execute strategies and initiatives.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present, persuade, and collaborate at the leadership level.
  • Ability to drive change through listening, identifying process gaps, recommending improvements and partnering with operations to make a successful transition.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Highly organized, ability to handle high volume of work and to multi-task.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite; advanced user level in Excel a must.
  • Oracle experience is a plus.

  • Effectively present information to stakeholders at all levels of the organization (field to CEO)
