Overview

Suitability is a team within HR that focuses on the suitability assessment and development of members of management bodies, branch management and key function holders in line with regulations. This role focuses on support to the key function holder and management body suitability processes, senior stakeholder management, metrics, governance and wider administration support to the team as a whole.

Your Role

What You’ll Do:

  • You will support planning, design and delivery of Suitability and HR initiatives as needed proactively and collaboratively. You will provide analysis, management information, and reporting in an efficient and timely manner
  • You will be responsible for timely production of quality materials and management information in support of suitability assessment and governance and development interventions. You will document and track requirements, plans, risks, issues, actions, costs, schedules, benefits etc. to ensure that the project work is compliant with documented standards, templates and frameworks, and captured in agreed tools/systems in a timely manner
  • You will support project and program awareness and communication, internally within HR and to our external stakeholders within business lines and infrastructure functions
  • You will review possible risks and issues that could impact delivery with a swift resolve in mind and/or escalate timely and as appropriate
  • You will work closely with colleagues across HR, global CEOs, COOs and other senior stakeholders to maximize the use of resources, knowledge and best practices
  • You will keep up to date with home state regulations that impact suitability standards for key function holders and management body members. You will contribute to the ongoing development of Deutsche Bank’s Suitability Policy and implementation procedure documents

Skills You’ll Need:

  • You will need to have a good understanding and some previous experience on fit and proper suitability standards and best practices to successfully support evaluation of knowledge and skills requirements for key function holders and management body members of banks and credit institutions, investment firms, and complex financial holding companies
  • The ability to handle, interrogate and analyze large quantities of raw data and convert it into clear reporting to support management decisions and discussions
  • You will have strong MS Office application knowledge and advanced skills and experience using Excel and PowerPoint, desktop publishing, SharePoint and Workday. Advanced experience developing briefings and presentations for executive/board level audience. You will have strong oral and written communication and listening skills
  • You will be methodical, detail orientated and strong attention to detail. You will also have good business acumen within banking and financial services and deep commercial orientation. You will have the ability to manage a diverse range of senior stakeholders, adjusting communication style and approach to ensure optimal communication and delivery
  • Bachelors, Masters or an equivalent degree level education in Leadership, Business, Law/Regulation

  • Having the ability to independently identify a problem, isolate the root cause, work through multiple solutions, and formulate a realistic recommendation

  • You will be an confident self-starter, execution focused and experience working in a matrix environment with minimal handholding and a remote team environment
  • Prior experience at a consulting firm or experience on regulatory matters with expertise in investigative work requiring judgment based skills
