The mission of this role is to effectively grow a $10M Building Controls business to $30-60M by 2025. Part of this growth will be through acquisition and part through organic means. Provides senior leadership in strategy, sales, operations and demonstrate passion for the employees and customers. Responsible for the successful integration of acquired companies and employee Partners.

]Essential Duties:

  • Provides stategic leadership, directs, coaches, and develops staff to achieve performance goals and company objectives. Shares technical expertise and experience. Conducts timely, complete and meaningful performance management conversations.
  • Provides senior leadership in strategy, sales and operations, and demonstrates passion for employees and customers.
  • Responsible for the successful integration of acquired companies and employees.
  • Responsible for managing capital and cost center budgets, controlling costs and using methods such as cost-benefit analysis to improve efficiency and sustainable growth rate.
  • Develops strategic plans for building controls activities. Implements and manages plans accordingly. Participates in the strategic planning process.
  • Champions Quality/LEAN/reliability principles (e.g., pull planning, six-week look ahead, value mapping, contraints logs, etc.).
  • Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Construction Management or related field is preferred.
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification is a plus.
  • 15 years of progressively increasing responsibilities with proven experience in related general management responsibility for a total business.
  • 7 years of direct experience leading a building controls business and team.
  • Direct experience leading a highly technical workforce that self-performs the design, installation and ongoing support of building control systems.
