Looking for someone locally with structural steel management experience. Position will assist the jobsite foreman and oversee the Project Engineer to effectively manage projects.

Qualifications

  • 5 years experience in the steel fabrication industry
  • Construction and Steel experience required
  • Must read drawings (structural, architectural, shop drawings)
  • Must be able to manage and advise Detailers regarding shop drawings
  • Computer literate (Mircrosoft office, Procore, Veo & Drop box)
  • Fabsuite experience a plus
  • Highly Organized and able to excel at meeting schedules under pressure
  • Project management experience required
  • Able to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Must be able to manage, delegate and teach their Project Engineer/Coordinator on all aspects of their projects.
  • Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies
  • Must have knowledge of Bluebeam applications
  • Current version of AutoCAD Drafting is a plus
  • Participate in job site meetings, kick off meetings and job walks.
  • Understanding structural framing and elements of a building
  • Assist in project close-out
  • Assist in the document control of various projects assigned including RFI’s, Submittals etc.
  • Work with Project Engineer to schedule work and fabricated items for delivery.
  • Fluent in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully manage the entire project from LOI to project close out.
  • Schedule deliveries with their PE
  • Track inspection reports
  • Field measure
  • Communicate jobsite needs to Project Engineer
  • Pick up and make deliveries as needed if headed to the field
  • Writing RFIs

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $80,000.00 to $100,000.00 /year
