Position Summary:
An integral member of the Boreal / Woodward / Soda Springs Marketing Team, this successful candidate will have experience in executing marketing initiatives in the snow and youth action sports industries. We strive to successfully communicate services, activations, and the Boreal, Soda Springs & Woodward experiences to guests. The Sales & Events Manager will own off-premise and group sales along with assisting with key partner deliverables in an authentic way that creates synergies between resorts and partners. This person will own and operate the year-round events schedule and assist with community events, trade shows, and fundraisers. Liaison between organization and community partners, vendors, retailers, and guests. Help manage professional and influencer teams in the action sports industry at large, including skateboarding, snowboarding, skiing, BMX, MTB, Parkour, Scooter, and more. Provide marketing assistance to internal departments to meet company goals.
We are seeking a top-tier candidate with excellent organizational skills, mastery of the written language, and high-touch personal skills to help round out our marketing team. This team player will thrive in a fast-paced work environment based in our Woodward Tahoe Marketing office and report to the VP of Marketing.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
Events/Partnerships and activations
- Works with the marketing team to help execute all BRC Big Bets
- Responsible for planning, coordinating, communicating and executing all events for BRC
- Maintain effective communication with internal business unit teams to ensure a cohesive strategy with events and partner activations
- Work with our top-tier partners to ensure proper communication and maintain
- Ensure event direction is consistent with brands
- Responsible for planning, coordinating, communicating and executing all off-site brand activations
- Accountable for coordinating professional athletes and influencers for year-round marketing needs, including Woodward Summer Camps.
- Works with Powdr experiential teams to ensure partner deliverables are exceeded
Group Sales, Off-Premise and Private Events:
- Responsible for all group sales for BRC
- Responsible for all off-premise and key account sales for BRC
- Responsible for planning, coordinating and communicating private events for BRC
- Works with content teams to create Sales and Event content
- Ensure social messages and content is compelling, accurate and on-brand
- Monitor and analyze results and provide insights and recommendations to improve sales, events and activation performance
- Manage special requests for internal business units and coordinate timelines and deliverables
Miscellaneous:
- Support Marketing & Communications Manager as needed
- Provide on-site assistance with marketing events and activations
- Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements & Qualifications:
- 3+ years of event experience
- 2+ years in sales experience
- Work with youth/lifestyle brands are a plus.
- College or University degree is not required but preferred
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Creative application experience is a bonus
- Must have exceptional ability to manage time professionally and execute ideas from initial concept to finished work
- Experience with high-volume, fast paced campaigns
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills with ability to work quickly and efficiently
- Must possess excellent writing and proofreading skills
- Ability to work with multiple personalities in a diverse environment in a team atmosphere
- Must be able to manage multiple projects, across several categories
- Must enjoy and thrive in a fast-paced environment

- Ensures safety messages are communicated to department staff by holding weekly Safety Meetings (topics are provided or can be substituted with a topic more suited to the department) and given to Human Resource for tracking. You will be representing your department at the monthly Safety Committee Meetings.
