Position Summary:

The Senior Project/Program Manager manages the established EPA program or contract and serves the customer; coordinates program requirements across planning stages. Reviews and submits financial reports. Position is based in North Chelmsford, MA.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervising staff and for maintaining technical integrity and financial accountability in the performance of assigned tasks in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Interfacing with customers in all performance matters; planning and overseeing work in response to customer requests; submitting all required status and financial reports; and resolving any technical, performance, management, and personnel issues.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related field, and 10 or more years of experience as an analytical chemist or analytical laboratory manager or section supervisor, with extensive knowledge of analytical and data review procedures.
  • direct experience managing and supervising large projects that involve data validation, analytical sampling and monitoring and analysis. Must have experience in NELAC Laboratory certification standards.
  • Must be US Citizen; no sponsorship available.
  • Must be able to obtain (security clearance) from the Federal Government

Preferred Skills:

  • Management of Environmental Laboratory Program; EPA experience preferred.

Professional Skills:

  • Excellent verbal, oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
  • Financial reporting aptitude (EPA reporting requirements a plus)
  • Ability to be flexible, multi-task, prioritize, and manage multiple activities simultaneously in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Up to 20 percent travel required.
  • Must work independently as well as have strong team management skills.
  • Must be goal oriented. Experienced meeting demanding deadlines
  • Detail oriented
