Project Solutions Inc. is seeking a qualified

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Being the on-site independent CQM for the Pirnie Envelope Project whose main responsibility is to ensure quality assurance is maintained from the start to final closeout of the project in accordance with the construction contract and applicable drawings and specifications.
  • Provide timely notification to GSA’s Project Manager/COTR on all issues of concerns related to construction contractor’s compliance with the contract and or ability to achieve the expected level of quality, adhere to cost, maintain project schedule, product submittals and use of unacceptable/unapproved products, requests for information (RFIs), etc..
  • Developing a quality assurance (QA) plan that clearly identifies monitor, verify, ensure, document and communicate the issues/concerns/activities of the project in a timely manner and how to enact an action plan regarding activities that need to be corrected or resolved during project.
  • Conduct daily inspections
  • Coordinate and document meetings including but not limited to:
    • Pre-construction – to be held one week after Notice to Proceed (NTP), on-site. Meeting to review scope of work, discuss schedule and any unique security requirements.
    • Weekly progress meeting – discussions regarding progress, identify/discuss open action items and ways to resolve, punch list status, answer questions, provide two (2) week look ahead information. These meetings may also be referred to as Project Status Meetings.
    • Key conversations/discussions points between contractor, GSA and or CQM where agreements or decisions are made that impact the existing or future performance/ability to adhere to the contract.
    • Substantially complete meeting – identify/discuss open action items and ways to resolve, punch list status, review CQM comments/concerns. e. Construction closeout verification meeting – review punch list, claim release, etc

Required education, knowledge and skills:

  • Knowledge of the fundamental construction principles, concepts and practices

  • OSHA 30 required

  • Comprehensive knowledge of site planning, building design and construction means, methods and codes, scheduling, material and labor cost estimating sufficient to evaluate general compliance environmental health, safety and protection requirements.

  • Average agility and dexterity. Duties will include moderate walking over rough, uneven or slippery surfaces, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, climbing ladders or similar activities, recurring lifting of moderately heave objects less than 50 lbs. and regular visits to construction sites.

  • Must pass a pre-employment background check
  • Minimum 8 years’ related experience
  • Valid driver’s license
