Title: AREA VICE PRESIDENT, Long Term Care -Coastal North
Location: North Carolina
JOB PURPOSE:
The Area Vice President will advise the Sr. Vice President of Community Services on strategic business decisions that affect our strategic plan and will monitor company performance compared to financial, clinical, and operational goals. When variations exist, the Area Vice President will initiate corrective actions. Licensed Nursing Home Administrator License in Georgia and/or Florida highly preferred.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinates the Administrators to develop short term and long term strategic goals that support the UHS-Pruitt Mission and Vision statements.

Keeps the Sr. V.P. informed about business activities, potential threats, opportunities, and recommended actions.

Helps determine resource allocations that will achieve our company wide goals.

Develops a coordinated marketing effort to expand our services area and the services offered in the Region.

Presents annual budgets to the V.P. for approval.

Ensures that standard practices are implemented across all of the Region’s locations.

Ensures that all of the Region’s locations use the performance improvement process to meet established goals.

Responsible for meeting the financial goals of the Region.

Responsible for meeting the clinical goals of the Region, with specific emphasis on our LTCQ clinical indicators.

Responsible for meeting the DSO goals of the Region.

Ensures that all partners under the span of control embrace the “Committed to Caring” philosophy.

Responsible for maintaining the excellent reputation of UHS-Pruitt Corporation and the Community Services Division.

Responsible for the improvement of customer and partner satisfaction scores with each subsequent survey.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

Knowledge of LTC operations, state and federal regulations and compliance.

Must be proficient in working with computers, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.

Subject matter expert on PDPM Patient Driven Payment Model required.

Matrix Care software knowledge preferred.

Able to respond to change productively and handle additional projects as assigned.

Oversee the implementation of organization-wide Quality Assurance Performance Improvement.

Participates and approves the development and revision of agency policies and procedures.

Participates in state and national organizations to ensure Long Term Care entities remain current with industry standards.

Implements partner relations practices necessary to establish a positive partner-employer relationship and promote a high level of partner morale.

Keeps supervisor informed of daily activities and issues. Proposes solutions to all issues.

Ability to work a flexible schedule with frequent travel. -80%
