Director of Ancillary Services

Job Summary

The Director of Ancillary Services plans, organizes and directs the provision of Radiology services and Specialty Annex Services. Supervises departmental personnel as well as all functions in radiology, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, MRI, CT and bone density. Recruits Specialty Physicians and oversees the Directors of Laboratory and Respiratory Therapy Services.

Salary range listed is a reflection of the base salary only.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Under the guidance of a Radiologist or other physicians, provides radiological procedures for patients
• Oversees the radiological procedures performed by staff members
• Maintains stock levels of supplies and for obtaining and maintaining required equipment
• Provides quality assurance and improvement
• Manages department functions and supervises Radiology Department personnel
• Oversees the Directors of Laboratory and Respiratory Therapy Services

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor of Science degree and/or Healthcare Administration or equivalent experience preferred but not required and is a graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
• Leadership and management abilities and effective oral and written communication skills
• ARRT and must be Board Certified by the Texas Medical Board
• Experience with healthcare operations leadership
• 3 years’ experience as a Registered Technologist in a medical setting preferred
• Training in radiological, nuclear, MRI, CT, ultrasound and PACs services
• Experience in Specialty Physician recruitment
• Supervisory experience

Salary: $75,000.00 to $120,000.00 /year

Experience:

• ARRT or ARCRT required & licensed by the Texas Medical Board (Required)
